Project 38: HIGH EFFICIENCY EJECTOR FOR GAS COMPRESSION

CCS requires the compression of CO2 to high pressures. The ejector (or a system of ejectros) is on device designed to achieve this: liquid is pumped with high pressure into the ejector and, due to its geometric-induced acceleration, gas is suctioned into the liquid stream. The mixture is decelerated attaining a higher pressure than the gas was initially in inlet. The main goals in this research are the development of a compression system using liquid-gas ejectors for high efficiency compression of CO2 from standard conditions to 60bar to be applied in the chain value of CS. High efficiency system of devices is a requirement in this project.
