About the Department
The Department of Politics, Management and Health is an academic unit focused on the production and dissemination of technical-scientific knowledge related to State-society relations; formulation and implementation of public policies; and the management and evaluation of actions, services, programs and care networks within health systems.
It acts to achieve the mission of the School of Public Health, actively contributing to various USP undergraduate and postgraduate courses in developing the skills and competencies required in the work world.
It collaborates with partnerships and agreements signed with public and private universities, health system entities, municipalities and Brazilian states, as well as other countries. Maintains interaction with different research groups and networks promoting debate and exchange on contemporary challenges and develops culture and extension activities, which express the Department’s ethical-political commitment centered on the relationship between the University and public policies aimed at producing better conditions. of life and health for all.
