It studies aspects related to the conformation and development of the State and contemporary societies. It focuses on the historical and theoretical investigation of health production that expresses State-society relations in their different historical-social contexts, encompassing social protection and technological incorporation.

Public policy and health

It involves the study of power relations with an emphasis on conflicts and negotiations in shaping the agenda and in formulating, financing, conducting, implementing and evaluating public health policies, as well as their relationship with economic and social policies.

Health Systems and Services Management

It involves studies on the healthcare and organizational conformations of health systems and services, their theoretical, political and social basis, as well as their implications for the organization and management of work processes.
