Special Student

Special students are those enrolled only in isolated courses, without being linked to any USP Graduate Program. Undergraduate students may have their enrollments accepted in the Program upon evaluation by the Program Coordinating Commission.

The special student’s enrollment must be ratified by the Program Coordinating Commission, after consulting the faculty member responsible for the course. Special students are entitled to a certificate of course completion, which will be provided by the Program.

A regularly enrolled student in the Program may request credit recognition for courses taken as a special student within the last 36 months prior to regular enrollment, in accordance with the provisions of article 54 of the USP Graduate Regulations – CLICK HERE

Period for special student enrollment: Preferably up to 15 days before the start of the course.

The submission for special student must be made via online form (ENROLL HERE), by sending PDF files of the following documentation:

  1. Legible copy of the RG, document from the Regional Professional Council, or National Driver’s License or RNM (For foreigners);
  2. Legible copy of the CPF;
  3. Legible copy of the undergraduate diploma (front and back), with MEC registration. This registration is not necessary in the case of an undergraduate diploma obtained abroad. In the absence of the diploma, present a recent declaration (last 3 months) from the originating institution, stating the date on which the degree was awarded;

The fee of R$ 259.14 for enrollment, per course, for special students, must be paid via bank slip after the documentation is checked by the Graduate Service. Enrollment will only be effective upon payment confirmation through sending the receipt via email (inscricaopg@fm.usp.br) or the bank information that occurs two days after payment. There will be no refund of the amount paid if the student requests enrollment cancellation.
